Do You Secretly Miss Pasta?

For those that miss and crave pasta, a guest author on Tera Warner’s blog has found a trick to appeal to our taste buds by emulating the texture and taste of pasta through raw foods. You will never guess the secret ingredient … zucchini! This recipe is one of those intriguing recipes that you just have to try because it is so unique and if you just try to imagine the turnout, you know that it is going to be a delectable treat.

I never thought about pasta replacements, however I sure do miss pasta every once in a while. The plus to this recipe too is that zucchini has all the health benefits that are basically void in pasta noodles. Between Vitamin A and C, as well as potassium and magnesium, your pH balance will stabilize and your energy levels will naturally increase.

The recipe calls for a really tasty fig salad (I have not made the salad yet, but come on, everything with figs you know will be tasty!). However there is some latitude for creativity that was inspired by the palette suggested. I was thinking a salad based with dates would be just as delicious with the zucchini noodles, or perhaps pomegranate.

These sorts of recipes are rare when they are not only tasty but also creative and inspiring. I was trying to think of other foods that I may somewhat “miss” and nothing immediately came to mind (fortunately), however I am sure Tera Warner’s guest author will remind me with her next creative concoction!
