When people think about raw vegan dieting, they usually imagine a lot of tasteless salads, however, it can be a very rewarding experiences, especially since so many desserts can be prepared fast and easy and completely outside the over.
That’s right, raw vegan desserts prepared only out of the freshest and most healthful ingredients not only taste amazing, but will also benefit your health in numerous ways. For example, a raw walnut brownie is very easy to make, with the help of a food processor, and will be made primarily out of walnuts.
Walnuts are highly nutritious, containing particularly high amounts of healthy omega-3 essential fats, which promote cellular growth and tissue regeneration, while lowering the likelihood of developing heart disease. To prepare the brownie, you will need to soak 3 cups of walnuts for a few hours, and then grind them using a food processor. The next ingredient you will be using is 3 cups of dates, which will be added to the ground walnuts for further processing.
After that, one cup of raw cacao should be added to the mixture. I personally love chocolate and often add cacao to my sweets. Not only does it taste dreamy, but cacao contains some of the most powerful natural antioxidants, alongside numerous compounds that are beneficial to human health, such as iron, zinc, copper, calcium and magnesium and other trace minerals.
Cacao can also benefit hair and nails thanks to its high sulfur content, yet it should be consumed with caution as it is sympathetic nervous system stimulant and can cause a feeling of fatigue. Nonetheless, consuming it responsibly will surely bring numerous advantages to health. After the walnuts, dates and cacao have mixed well, add in half a cup of dried coconut, a few spoons of raw honey or some other raw natural sweetener, and a tiny pinch of salt. Continue processing all of these ingredients together until they are homogenized, then place the mix into a glass brownie pan, chill and serve!
